Hi everyone, Name is Tina from Evansdale, favorite movie MY Fellow AMericans with Jack Lemmon and James Gardner, I have watched it a butt load of times and makes me laugh each time. I just had my consult Friday, went real well but sure is alot of records I have to go get and take to him, still no idea about insurance, guess we have to get threw all this other crap first. He seemed awful worried about a stent I had put in last Sept. in my abdoman(spelling) so I am having a real tuff time staying positive about this whole thing. But reading all your posts help alot so I'll keep pushing on. Thanks all, your great!!!!

Hi Julie, Robert here from Vinton (near Cedar Rapids). Being a hopeless romantic, my favorite movie of all time is Somewhere In Time (with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.) Having seen it probably over a couple dozen times since it came out in the 80's, and listneing to the soundtrack in my car hundred's of times, it still makes the tears run down my face. Yeah, a guy who actually cries ... imagine that. Journey wise, I'm 10 weeks out from having had surgery on April 14th, 2003 in Cedar Rapids with Dr. Keating and a Roux n Y. I'm down 74 pounds so far which I guess is good for ten weeks. Right now at about 309, my goal is 210. Still having some bad days with some puking-up, or what I'd call wretching of the foamy saliva stuff and sometimes bits of food. I hear it gets better with time, so I'm hanging in there. I've sworn off meat, poultry, and fish for a while.
