I was still able to take pills after surgery, but hopefully as you lose weight you can work your way off the meds. There are quite a few members of our weight loss support group that were on anti-depressants and meds for diabetes, cholesteral, and blood pressure that were able to go off meds when they dropped the weight. Good luck to you! I had a nutritionist tell me that you have about a half hour for that pill to dissolve in your pouch, so take a pill and stick it in a glass of water and check it in a half hour. (I did this with vitamins, looking for one that I would get the most out of) ANother thing they may look into is liquid prescriptions. Just be careful of the sugar content there. I came home taking liquid hydrocodone for pain and it worked really well, but I bought some Tylenol and experienced dumping syndrome after I took it because I did not buy the sugar free Liquid Tylenol. Anyway, hope that helps, keep us posted on your appointments! ~Julie
