I have a final consult date.

Hello all!! Today was a very busy day but I have my last consult with the surgeon scheduled for the 31st of July. It could have been earlier but he goes to India for the month. They say surgery is around two weeks after that. Now it is time to tell the family.(ouch) wish me luck.

If they love you...they will understand and support you...EVENTUALLY....because... remember, they will also be afraid of losing you..and when you love someone.. sometimes the risks of losing you outweigh the risks that you have now. your ALIVE now..and it sometimes takes a while for them to realize you have to take small risks to reap large rewards! CONGRATS on your approximate surgery date! It will be only a month after mine! whoOOPEEE! ~~~Dawn~~~

Good Luck!!! I have only told the family members I knew would support me. Some were reluctant but on the whole they just want me to be healthy. They do realize get togethers will change. My home family (husband and kids) aren't aware of the changes that will take place but I figure we can all learn together. I hope everything goes well. Damena

Congratulations! It seems like everyone on this board is getting good news all at once! Now to find a way to pass the time till the end of July... research! Even though you have already made your choice, make sure you research food, exercise, pain management, etc... going into a procedure like this, it never hurts to be as prepared as humanly possible!!
