Tina! (more)
Thanks for the sweet words in your post under food/protein drinks. I like to talk about my surgery and if it helps other people, then great! I was really scared to have it done, afraid of the pain, but I was so sick of being tired and FAT. Sick of not being able to do things with my kids etc. I feel that the quality of my life has improved so much since surgery. I had a nightmare that they made my pouch too small and that all the joy had gone out of eating. That is SO not the case! I DO enjoy eating still, just healthier things and smaller amounts. I ate a rice crispy bar yesterday at a family picnic, along with baked beans, devilled egg and fresh fruit salad. It's all trial and error. Anyway, take care, let me know how things go... have you tried for surgery approval yet? I know of someone with title XIX that went through Dr. McFarland in Moline Illinois. I don't know how far you are from the Quad Cities but I thought I would pass that info on. ~Julie
