Any one else having surgery with Dr. Monte Swartz??

I am schudeled for surgery June 6th!!!!(YEY) I am a little nervous I do not know if it is for the surgery or for the new life??? I was just wondering if anyone else had been seen by Dr. Monte Swartz?? What was recovery like? How long were you in the hopital? Just looking for information.

I had my surgery in Davenport Iowa with Dr. Stoner. I had my surgery, and open RNY plus my gall bladder removed on Wednesday July 17th. I went home from the hospital on Saturday July 20th. It was painful, but walking every day really helped. Recovery was hard, but it got easier once I was home. I was doing pretty much everything for myself (including taking care of 2 small children) after 3 weeks. Good luck with your surgery, keep us posted and if we can be of any help, please let us know!! Hello, I have Dr. Monte Swartz as well, my surgery is scheduled for june 17th though so I can't really help ya there, but for me, I feel comfortable with him, some of that may have to do with the fact that he prefomed this surgery for five years at the mayo clinic before he went to grinnell and has never lost a patient, thats good enough in my eyes, best of luck to ya!
