I realize to some of you that have been exercising alot and didnt start out at almost 400# 6 months ago, that it isnt a big deal, but to me,, it was,, I was the last walker starting the 5k and the last one to finish,, in 75 minutes,, but I made it,, that was all I wanted to do,,,
some of the runners were passing me going on the home stretch before I was at the one mile mark, but I still made it,,,100# gone sure makes a big difference,, now that I know the course, I may even try it a few times on my own,, the most I had walked before was 1.2 miles,,

Congratulations! Good for you for getting out there and keeping at it! The next one will be easier, and the pounds will keep falling off!

Great job Bonnie!    I am so happy for you and proud of you!

I suppose next we'll be hearing about you  doing half marathons.   ;-)

I dont think I will ever be up for a half marathon,, I did walk two more nites -- 2 miles each,, it is really hard carrying all this around and I was sure I had walked longer than that,, but I figure it is taking me 75 minutes to walk that so maybe I will get somewhere someday,,lol

HEY,, I walked a total of 10 miles this week and lost 5.2#,, so hopefully, I will be able to continue walking : as long as my stress fracture doesnt decide to give me fits again,, so that makes a total of 112# since January 1st,, it was a hard week but now it seems worth it,,
