Tooting My Horn!

I thought I'd give you all an update on my progress.  It's been awhile and I thought you all might be interested.  Nah, actually just tooting my own horn here and you get to listen to me brag or whatever you want to call it.

I started this journey on October 17, 2008, my 53rd birthday.  Had my surgery on Feb. 11, 2009.  I weighed this morning on my home scale and I am so happy to say that I have lost almost 57 pounds now.  Everyone who sees me notices it immediately so I guess that it's showing.  I am down four clothing sizes since I began this journey in October, so I know the weight is not there like it was.  I am so happy about the loss and hope that it continues that way until I get 90 pounds off like I want to.

Thank you all for listening and hope that you are doing well and losing or maintaining each day.

Happy Weekend,
Carol

Wowzer Carol, great job.  With spring in the air, (I wish) just think as your outside doing yard work or whatever how much easier you will get things done.  I picked up a few bags of mulch the other day and with what you have lost it would seem like walking around all day carrying 2 bags around.  Isn't it mystifying how we carry that weight day in and day out.  Keep up the good work and by all means toot your horn!!

Thank you everyone.  I am really amazed how much I've lost and because it's been lost since October, it doesn't seem that I have been working at it this long.  I am so glad I had the RNY done and am getting my health back.  I don't feel 53 and most people who know me well would tell you I sure don't act it either.

Thanks again, everyone!

I am doing ok, I am working on a few things that the psych wanted me to work on pre op. I am also kind of in a holding pattern right now because I have a tumor on my ovary I need to get taken care of first... I had a car breakdown on friday and missed my appointment with Dr J. I didnt have the phone number to call them I am hoping that didnt screw my chances up.. wont know till I call them monday. I didnt get home till after 5 .. ugh! Anyway that is whats going on with me... say a prayer for me, Im really worried about the tumor thing.
