Its TOOOO quiet around here!!!
Hey y'all!!
Its been pretty quiet on the board lately, so I just thought I'd send a shout out to everyone and find out how everyone is doing....SOOOooooo, HOW IS EVERYONE DOING???? :>)
I am 7 wks out of surgery today, 59lbs total lost since Oct, and 34lbs down since surgery. I am wearing a size Large t-shirt today for the first time since.....oh elementary or jr. high school??!!?? :D Totally excited about that!! I may be ready to start thinking about smaller pants again too...not for sure yet! Im eating a LOT of things, and so far have not had any problems with anything at all.....(not sure if thats good or bad yet though), Im loving toast, with pb or cinnamon and splenda, grilled chicken, grilled turkey steaks, soft tacos (made with turkey instead of steak).....ect.
I want to know how everyone is doing, so please post and let us cheer you on!! :D

Great job, keep up the good work. I know it's quiet. I have been tempted to take over the board with all kinds of things! That is great you are able to enjoy so many foods already, makes the future look brighter for me as I am a bit of a foodie and generally really enjoy eating, do you feel you are able to do that still?
As far as me, still walking, upping it a bit as far as time/distance go, and working on downing my portion sizes and eating healthier. I know the more I do this the easier it will be when I finally have my surgery.

Has been quiet around here. I had my psych eval last friday and go again to cover my questionaire next Friday since we ran out of time, Was kind of bummed about that with the drive and all. I got a call from my insurance company health advocate stating that they had switched me over to another nurse. My instinct was what,,,, after I thought I had built a rapor with the gal, but this one was just as nice and she was just checking to see where I was in my appts and whend did I think they would submit to her. She said as long as they complete/submit what my employer does and my supervised diet is in tact it should only take them a few days to review. So now I am pumped up again thinking I will possibly know in 2 weeks whether it is a GO!!! On top of all this we decided to put an offer on a house closer to the school our daughter will attend next year and it got accepted and now we need to sell ours and somehow hope it all works out, packing/surgery/moving... hmmm may be a good excuse not to do much work. Ours has only been on the market a week, but the only thing I have to compare it to is our last house that sold in 1 day....Keep me in your thoughts for both big events!!
Just checking in for a moment. I have been so busy this week that I haven't had much time on here much less time to myself so that's my excuse. :-) Seriously, I have been on the go so much this week that I couldn't believe it. It's the way it always is in the spring and summer months. I love it though.
I am going for my one month post-op tomorrow, even though it's actually five weeks for me plus a couple days. I am down 50.4 pounds as of this morning from where I started back in October. I am down 18 pounds since pre-op (Jan. 30) and I'm kind of bummed that it isn't more. Think that's why I am focusing on the whole amount lost since October instead of since pre-op. I'll be anxious to see what I weigh in at tomorrow in Iowa City..................I weigh in naked at home but will have clothes on tomorrow. :-) Wish me low numbers!
I have to get going. Have a group of 40 coming on Saturday for lunch for my husband's birthday and I'm trying to get the house cleaned and get ready for that little by little. Take care everyone and keep posting!!

I have been looking on here but no one was writing so I have just been checking in on the main forum,, but I have been thinking about all of you,,
I have lost 56# since Jan 5, (my start the clear liquid diet),, I can walk and bend and do almost anything except stairs, so much arthritis in my knees that I can go up them if I hang on but I still have 316.8# to drag up..my grandson noticed I didnt need his help going down stairs last nite, so that was good,,
I finally had to work 3 days in a row this week, and my legs and feet were tired, but not as much as before surgery,, If I had a sitting down job it would probably be easier, but figure as long as I am standing or walking for 9 hours, that should count as exercise, right? lol
I havent tried any toast yet Jenn,, but we have some great rye bread at work that has been driving me nuts, I work in a hospital kitchen and am the afternoon and evening cook,, I cooked my own fish last nite at work and had 3 oz and 1/2 cup of tomato basil soup,, thought that was way too much for one time but I didnt have any trouble, then came home and 3 hours later I ate 1 1/2 south beach bars,, I never have eaten that much before, usually I dont finish one,, hope this feeling hungry goes away,, but I guess I will have to figure it all out
have a good day all, Bonnie
