Anyone want to go to Chicago

Anyone want to go to Chicago with me??  I would love to get a group together to go attend this meeting.  It seems pretty rare that we getting a meeting like this so close to us!

I saw that Chicago event and thought it would be great to go.  If you can get a group up, maybe we could take a charter bus to it together.  Maybe leave from a central location for anyone interested in going.  I'll take a look at the event again and keep posting on here if you get a group together.

That does sound like a great conference.  I love watching Big Medicine.  Haven't been able to find it much on TLC lately, not sure why.  I would think if a group were going to go they would need to decide/get tickets within this next month.  I know in the past I have gone to conferences at work and they waited too long to make the arrangements, so I had to stay at an offsite hotel, which takes the fun out of it.  Not sure where I will be on my journey by then, hopefully post-op.  I got my Psych visit sched for March 12. YEAH!!

Count me in!!! I have a van that will hold 6 passengers plus a driver...I would be more than happy to drive if we have 7 people or less (and we can get someone else to drive if we have more).  I will check into hotels and see if I can find a deal for us.  My sister in law lives in Chicago.  This would definately be fun!! The Mount pleasant people could meet me in Ainsworth and Carol we could meet in Davenport area to get you!! :)  I will update you on what I find out for hotel, but if we share rooms I bet we can save money that way!!

Hi Iowa!  I'm the event coordinator here at OH,  and I would love to meet some friends from Iowa!  This is great to see you all communicating to coordinate rides, rooms, and fun!  Check the website for the event hotel rooms; they are at $109, so if some of you share, it might not be so bad.  Our hotel is right near O'Hare, if that helps!  This is going to be a fun event! I can hardly wait...I'm having a blast planning it.

Oh, that would be wonderful if we could get five or six of us to go and share rooms and cost of gas, etc.  Jenn, I would be able to meet you wherever works the best.......Davenport or wherever you think.  I would love to ride along with you and help share the cost of gas, parking, etc.

I think we should all do this!!  Doesn't it sound like a great time and wonderful information??  I would love to get the information they are going to share too.

Hi Everyone!

Just a couple questions for you, Kim said the hotel that the convention is in is $109 a night. So how much are you willing to pay per night for hotel? From the sound of it its all day Friday and Saturday, so Im thinking we leave Thursday sometime and come back Sunday morning?  I am willing to pay half the room and then we dont have to share beds or sleep on the floor...that I am not so willing to do :)  So we could get 2-3 rooms.  So I called the hotel that the convention is at and booked 1 room. I wanted to book 2 but you have to put down 1 nights deposit to book the room ($109), so I decided just to do the 1 room.  If you want more than that, you need to call ASAP to book, they had to "force" my reservation through, he said they were full already!!!! The number to the hotel is 847-544-5300 I would recommend someone calling right away and reserving at least one more room...I got the double beds.  Also, in case anyone is worried about the deposit, if we change our minds it is refundable as long as we cancel before 72 hours of the stay.  I got the room for Thursday thru Saturday night.
