Weird Rash

This is very embarrassing but I have a weird rash around my incisions and between some of them.  I was wondering if anyone had heard of something like this.  It's just a red, very itchy rash.  My doctor told me it looked like my skin had a reaction to the sterry strips they used to help them heal, but there was nothing like this red rash when I saw her on Monday.  This has just developed in the last few days.  It's really weird and it itches sooooooo bad.  I'm doing my best not to itch it, but it's really hard.  If anyone has any info I would appreciate it very much.

 i did not have a rash, but my son had had multiple surgeries and develops this rash about 5-7 days after surgery. He is allergic to ANY kind of tape etc. that they use so we have to use a cortizone cream when ever this happens.  Did DR. reccomend anything for  the itch?
Also what is embarrasing about that? We have gone through way tooo much on our weight loss journey to be embarrased by a rash. Stand tall and be strong!

I don't know why you have a rash either but wonder if you shouldn't call the doctor's office and ask about it.  It could very well be from the steri strips but it's good to get it checked out.  We don't want anything to happen to you.

Thanks.  I've been using some hyrodcortizone cream and most of the rash is gone.  The incisions still itch horribly.  I will be calling about that.

It also might be from the skin adhesive that they use to make the steri-strips adher.  I'm allergic to the benzoine (brown and sticky) and the mastisol (supposedly hypoallergenic).  Also allergic to tape.  Make surgery interesting.
