Hey Everyone!! Im home!!

Surgery went very well, no complications.  Recovery has been really good.  Ive had little to no pain from the surgery.  Im very sore though!! Soreness/tenderness is getting better each day!  They kept telling me that I could go home yesterday and I kept telling them "no". I probably would have stayed another night if they would have offered!! Ive been up and walking a bunch and sipping tha****er and milk!! Im worried about getting all the water/milk in...but Im sure that will get easier by the day.    My upper legs are pretty sore, Im guessing that its from using my legs to adjust myself in bed, Im sure i used some muscles that I haven't used in a long time!!  My recliner at home is definately waaay more comfy than the hospital bed was, I would recommend taking pillows from home to anyone!! I took one, but wished I had another one, those hospital pillows just aren't comfy!!! :)

All is well, Im sure Im missing something and you have lots of questions, so feel free to ask me whatever!!

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts!!

~Jenn

YEA!!!! I'm glad you're doing good! I can relate to finding new muscles! And it will get easier each day to drink more than that medicine cup.  Let me know if you need anything! And welcome to the bench!

Hey Michelle! How soon will I notice all this "swelling" go down? I feel so bloated right now from the IV and all that!! I feel bigger now than I was pre-op!! I know it will go away, just wondered how soon?!  Thanks!! :)  Glad to be past the surgery hurdle!!

Welcome home Jenn!   I'm glad the surgery went well and it's been a good experience so far.

The swelling and bloatedness can last a week or more... so just stay away from the scale and focus on healing.

Blessings!   Jody

It'll take a week or so, just work on your walking and sipping! And whatever you do...DO NOT get on a scale!!! It will just upset you cause you won't notice a weight loss yet since you'll have to pee out all of the extra fluids they gave you first!

Whoops, guess that's your goal weight.  You've still lost quite a bit and congrats on the job well done!  I promise I'll pay closer attention the next time I read someone's weight information!  Duh me!

Hi,
I am just at the beginning of the whole process.  Such as getting insurance approval, etc.  Can I ask who your surgeon was, and where you had your surgery? Thanks for posting your experience, it's a great learning tool!
