My sister-in-law lives in Denison ,Iowa and is looking for Network physician in Omaha or relatively close to Denison who does WLS. Can anyone help? Insurance said there were none in Omaha or nearby but I know that some just show up as surgeons and not bariactric surgeons. Thanks

Has she tried looking on this website for a surgeon?  Does it have to be in Omaha or can it be in Iowa?  I'm not sure of who's over there but I'll see if I can figure it out and let you know.

Yes, but the ones listed are not in network. It can be in Iowa ... Omaha is just the closes large town so we thought it might be the best bet. Thanks for your help.

Mercy and Methodist in Des Moines both have strong programs and surgeons that are well liked and respected.

Sounds like someone out there had a suggestion for you.  I hope your SIL can find someone to do her surgery so she doesn't have to wait long.  There is one in Grinnell who seems to do quite a few surgeries too, but that's quite a distance from Denison.

Hope she was able to find someone to do her surgery, and you are right, many are listed as surgeons instead of bariatric surgeons, so she might want to look for surgeons in her area.  maybe there is something in her insurance provider manual that would help her find someone too.

Let us know when she gets it figured out, would you please?
