I uploaded some pics of me the day of the surgery and a pic of my incisions.  I know I was always curious what they looked like and where they were before I had surgery so I promised myself I would post a pic of mine so those who haven't had the surgery could see.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hey Jenny,

Those incision pics aren't as bad as I thought I'd see.  Band Aids I can deal with..............I just don't want him to have to convert to an open surgery!  Thank you for sharing your new pictures.  Keep them coming so we can see how much you change.

Hi Jenny!

Thank you so much for posting those pictures!  I appreciate it.  Make sure you take pics frequently.  You are going to be melting away as this winter will melt away into spring!   Keep us updated on what it is like to be post op.

Just a word of advice, my skin started becoming very irritated from the band-aids.  I ended up using gauze with paper tape(found in the first aid section), and that helped tremendously! I wasn't ripping layers of skin off when I wanted to change the bandages!

Thank you all for your support.  I definitely will keep updating pictures.  It really helps me to see how much I've lost because I don't think I look any different in front of the mirror.  Thanks for the advice about the bandaides.  I already took them off.  My doc told me I could take them off and leave them off after I take my first shower.  Some of them are really starting to itch.  I hate that part about healing.  I want to scratch it so bad, but I know I can't.  After taking microbiology and working in a micro lab it's terrifying how many bad bugs live under our fingernails.  So I'm being really careful.  The last thing I need is an infection.  Sorry about rambling off like that.  I get on my micro soapbox and just can't stop!

Has anyone had problems with constipation.  I knew I probably would but all my doctors office said was to call them if I go more than 3 days.  Well my surgery was on a Thursday so three days was a Saturday.  It's so frustrating because I just want to take something and pu**** out, but I can't push because it hurts and I'm not supposed to take anything before talking to the doc.  Guess I'll find out tomorrow.  Sorry about the TMI!
