I"ve Been Invited.....
I have been invited to the operating room on February 10th!!!! Yep, got my call this morning from Debi saying "Come on down!!" Okay, she said they were looking at Feb. 10th and asked if that would work for me. I didn't want to sound too enthused so I didn't say I'd be happy to come tomorrow.
I hope that everyone out there who is waiting for their date gets that phone call soon. It is agony waiting to hear.
I have pre-op on January 30th and then it's the liquid diet from Feb. 2nd to the 10th and then it's the operating room with Dr. Jamal and his crew. I'm excited! (like you can't tell)

Thanks everyone. I am a jumble of emotions right now too, but it's still almost a month away so as time gets closer I'll be more filled with nervous energy.
We'll all get through this one by one and won't it be exciting to hear our progress as we go?
Sunny, hang in there because whatever you need to do to be successful is what you want to do. I think the team at UIHC is top notch so do what they suggest and take it one step at a time until they and you feel surgery is what needs to happen.

I agree that the UIHC team is THE best!!! Of course Im somewhat partial to it lol! Sunny, you could look at it this way...we dont want to push and do something that is not in GODs plan for us, so if they tell you that you need to take a few more steps to get to the OR then take your time and do it right and it will all fall into place like its supposed too!
On that note, carol, how much exercise and how often do you do it are you getting in a day? I just wonder because I struggle with that one and I just wonder about it. I know they say to get in 30 minutes a day...i work in a preschool so im not on my butt all day long in an office job (not knocking office jobs at all) but when i get home I am drained and just want to relax...and by relax i mean, take care of my own 3 kids, get the supper and ready for bed, and by that time its ME time. Anyways, just wondering how everyone else does with this?? I do fine with the diet, that is not an issue for the most part, ive got to get that mindset to get my butt on that treadmill everyday...I should go do it right now!!!

I belong to Curves and go there three times a week. Three other days I walk inside after work at the school I work at. I still need to work on doing something the seventh day. Guess I'm "resting" that day or something. Anyway, I have to really force myself to do it somedays because I can talk myself out of it in a flash. I also have a Gazelle that I can use now that I'm under 250 pounds on days I don't get to do any other exercise. It is a challenge to do it but I really want success when I have the surgery so I am committed! Tell yourself you're worth it Jenn, because you are!!!
