I'm so glad that you guys have a date now! It makes it official. I suppose it is a little frightenung signing the surgery papers that give them pepermission to rearrange and remove part of you...EEWW
Sounds a little scary like that though.

But from what I've seen and read, its just the beginning of a wonderful journey. A new and better life! I know I'm excited to get mine done.

Yesterday while i was at my pcp for my monthly diet, he says "how long do we have to do this ?" I said 6 months, but he says its like 6 visits. So I started in July, August, September, October, November, December will be my 6th month! That I'll be having surgeryshortly after the new year!  I hope he's right, I'm so ready.

This way I can watch your progression and see if I'm keeping up!

Take care,
Nancy

Hi Everyone,

Well it looks like we are all at different stages in our journey to be healthy.  I have my surgery today!!  Monday Nov. 3 at 7am.  Yipee!!

In response to the posts here:

Waiting for the surgery date to arrive seems like forever, but it does arrive!

The approval times make you crazy with waiting.  I have UHC and I started the process in May 2008.

Those of you that have had the surgery...I can't wait to start having anniversaries and seeing my ticker go down.

The post op diet and liquid diet were not too bad.  Like someone said, a good jumpstart.

Think happy thoughts for me today, Candi
