Lap band Surgeons Info Needed

Hello everyone!, I live in AZ and my sister lives in SE Iowa and is considering the lap band procedure...could you please give me names/locations/phone numbers of any lap band surgeons you would recommend? SHe has no computer so is unable to gather this info herself. I know she would thank you all for your time and effort!!!! thanks again Ann

I live in SE Iowa and I am working with the Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery in Davenport. The Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery is the region's only  Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, as recognized by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Eibes in Des Moines  (not so much s.e. Iowa but a very good surgeon) does the lap band!  I was going to go to him before I found out my insurance would not cover and then found out about VSG and Mexico!  Good luck to her!  (I am also from s.e. IA!)

Surgical Associates in Grinnell is one of centers of excellence for bariatric surgery.  They now are doing lap band.  I had RNY with Dr. Sundburg.  He's wonderful.  He's had RNY himself so he really knows any answers to questions.
