Has anyone had plastic surgery and had medicare or medicaid pay for it?  One more question I was reading another post regarding the difference between abdominoplasty and a panniculectomy.  I thought the panniculectomy was when they redid muscles but from what I read on the post it was the abdominoplasty that does.  I would like to have my muscles repaired. Thank you

Panniculectomy is removing the skin of the pannus, lower tummy.  Insurance will sometimes pay for the panniculectomy but will rarely pay for a full tummy tuck.  I don't know about medicaid.  I would highly doubt they would pay for a tummy tuck.  And not to be mean, but as an Iowa taxpayer, I would hope that they wouldn't pay for a tummy tuck.  That's cosmetic unless you have a hernia.

Thank you for the information.  I don't consider your comment mean.
