I'm still waiting for a surgery date.  Hopefully will get a date next week.  Anyways, I would like to know for those people that have had their surgery, what is one thing that you wish you had or you're glad you had for after the surgery?

Actually I brought many things to the hospital.  I loaded my Mp3 player up with audiobooks and listened to none of them.  I guess the things that I was thankful for were my toothbrush and a change of clothes on day 2.  Thats about it.  Oh and carmex.

I really didn't need much while at the hospital--I slept and enjoyed being taken care of for a change!  The one thing I was really glad I had when while at home was long-handled tongs.  I didn't have to bend to pick stuff up off the floor or get out of the chair to reach stuff.  I also was glad to have purchased the DietMinder books to track my compliance and weight loss.  That was great.  And I was glad I had a food scale (once into the real food stage).

Good luck with the journey!

Hi, Thressa!

You're in good hands with Dr. Eibes.  He used to work with Dr. Coster in Grinnell (my hometown) - they are both fabulous surgeons!

I would recommend this product for your hospital stay (and after):
