Walk From Obesity

For those in the Des Moines and surrounding areas, Saturday September 29, 2007 is the national "Walk From Obesity". It is at Waukee Centennial Park in Waukee, Iowa. Registration is from 8:00am to 9:00am and the walk starts at 9:00. The 2 mile non-competitive event is a fundraiser to help reduce disability, death and discrimination of people who are obese by educating the public and healthcare professionals about effective treatments. Registration is $25.00. If you register ahead of time you will recieve a t-shirt and a gift bag full of samples. You can register and get more info at www.walkfromobesity.com.
