I'm pregnant.  326 lbs.  I get out of breath taking out the trash.  I broke my daughter's bed.  I can't do anything until after this baby is born in Dec.  Longer if I breastfeed.  DH is trying to be supportive, but I am just feeling like a freaking whale.

Well, I have called Dr Eibes office.  They said that I can begin the process around 6months before I want to have the surgery.  This is encouraging because I feel like there may be an end in sight.

Congratulations! and good for you on being proactive to do what you can do when the time comes. Time passes so fast...I keep trying to remember that myself. :)

I can sooooo relate and I feel for you.  My last child was born on 3/24/06 and my last couple of OB visits I weighed over 350 pounds and their scale didn't go any higher.  I know what it's like to feel like you're feeling.  I weighed in at 354 at Dr. Eibes's office prior to my surgery.  Almost 7 months later and I have lost over 100 pounds from the RNY surgery.  There IS hope!

For now, concentrate on a healthy pregnancy - take good care of yourself and your precious unborn child.  Once you start researching surgery, just don't let it get you too stressed out while you're pregnant.  I didn't have any problem with my insurance company getting approved so my pre-approval process was pretty much stress free - hopefully yours will be too.

What surgery are you thinking about having?  Please let me know if you have any questions - you can PM me if you'd like. Best of luck to you and congratulations on the baby! Carrie
