Well the surgery went very well, the only bad thing to happen was that nausea has now become a friend that is not welcome. She has bought along some other not so pleasant people with her. Wish they would set up camp some place else! I am down 29 pounds but I have not lost another thing. I seem to be having troubles now with constipation and it might be the hang up with not loosing. With that and nausea vitamins, protein, food or anything makes me vomit. I am still not at the point that I do not regret this yet. I pray daily that this will pass and I can get to the point of being happy about this tool. So far it is a monkey in my side!!! Any advise please by all means help me out. Velda Some one has to have the secret!

Velda, Im sorry you are having such troubles. What does your dr say about the nausea? Maybe he can order you something to help keep things down? Are you getting all your protein and water in? That is very important when it comes to weight loss, so that could be part of your not losing too. I am only 6 days post op and so far I seem to be doing just fine. Still on full liquids and I havent had any nausea yet. I will keep you in my prayers. Let me know how you are doing. Take care and God bless Cindy

I am so very excited for you!! It is always good to hear others are not suffering in this manner. They gave me some stuff in the hospital and it makes the nausea worse. But now they are thinking I may have a stricture. I will find more out today. I pray that is all it is and that soon I will get some relief..... Take care and again glad you are doing so very well. I am doing okay on the water but they will not let me have the protein or the vitamins nothing but fluids. Velda

Velda, I am sorry to here that you are having a hard time with nausea. I am still currently in the process of getting approval for the surgery but My causin in Minneapolis had the surgery about a year ago. She said that she was very sick the first month with nausea and stomach pain. she said that it went away almost immediately after she started walking. Now, with the exception of that rough first month, she is happier than ever and looks and feels great. I am not sure if you are experiencing the same thing she did but thought I might share her experience with you to help ensure that this will pass. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you so very much for sharing with me. All helps. But that is not my problem. (wi**** was that easy) You see I have a marathon running husband that works out five days a week at the YMCA. I have been going with him before and after the surgery. So I work out and walk. They think I may have a stricture and if that is the case they stripped me back to just fluids, (just got an IV today and another tomorrow) They hope it will repair its self, because it is to early in this to have to do the ballon thing. But every one keeps telling me since it is so rough now in a couple of months i will not even remember this. LOL I sure hope so.....
