I have a tentative date for surgery!!!

So I got a call from the Surgeons nurse then we played phone tag the last 2 days... Finally spoke with her this afternoon, she said they were waiting on my clearance from their psychologist that I had seen while I was in Ohio. In order to get her clearance I had to go see my own here in Iowa to have a plan in place and I did that Jan 29th.. the same day I called the clinics psychologist told her I had the face to face and she said that since I did that She would get my clearance letter right out. Well here we are almost 3 weeks later and NO CLEARENCE LETTER!!! I told Tammy (the nurse) what the Heather their psychologist has said about clearing me, she was going to hunt her down tonight before she left the office and will get back to me Sunday about it all...... But it seems that the moment I get her clearance my surgery date will be set for March 13 or 14!!!!!!! That is just 2.5 weeks away!!!!! I have to be in Ohio the week before for my Pre-Op work up on March 5th or 6th this is all tentative on Heather their psychologist. This worked out this way for the best really... My mom is having Surgery Friday March 2 for her shoulder torn rotator cup or something like that. So I will be able to help take care of her for the week before my surgery. Then my sister and my daughter Ashley can take care of us both. I am scared crazy, only 2.5 weeks away.... Gotta start my liquid diet Tuesday... 2 full weeks of nothing but slim fast with Whey Protein added and some Sugar Free Jell-o, that is my pre surgery diet for 2 weeks before OMG I wanna throw up! The emotions running though my head right now are crazy, excited, scared, happy, nervousness, the questions am I doing the right thing, what if something happens to me on and on and on... Ok now I am rambling. Thanks for listening to me ramble. Phyllis

Peggy, Thanks I am a bit clamer now. I started my pre-op diet yesterday and so far so good except for the stomach spasms i had last night. Hugs Phyllis
