Wow, this board is really slowing down. Must be everyone's success. Well I called the sleep center back on Monday and had to go get fitted for an auto pap.Its offical I have a case of sleep apnea. This means that I can have surgery for another 30 days. I'm bummed. I'm trying to practice the ancient art of patience but to be honest its not working out so great. Last night I did sleep with the machine for about half the night. I do feel refreshed this morning SUPRISE. I plan to update my profile this afternoon if anyone reads it Peace and Patience Amanda

These next 30 days will fly by. Patience is always hard when you are dealing with things that are going to change your life. It will get here soon. Deanne

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in December and got the CPAP just before Xmas. You will definitely notice that you are refreshed, less tired, almost energized. I also found that by being on the CPAP, I wasn't as hungry and didn't crave the caffeine like I had previously done. I lost about 7 pounds just from that! You are doing great Amanda! I know it's hard to be patient, but you've come so far ... The time will fly by! Keeping your seat warm on the losers bench! Jillybean

I know how you feel. I hated that thing but I just looked at it as just 1 more thing I had to do to be able to have surgery. You can do it. My Cpap would show how long I had woren it. I think I had to wear it at least 4 hours each night for 30 days. I remember one morning I woke up and had only had it on for 3 hours because I had taken it off during the middle of the night. I stayed in bed an extra hour just to get all 4 hours in. You will make it, and in the end it will be worth it. I look back now and think it was all worth it. GOOD LUCK.
