had my intake appt.

Hey Everyone I had my intake appt today. Everything went stupendous. Susan is pretty smart about the bariatric stuff. I wish I could say that everything went well with my talk with Mel about insurance stuff. Apparently there is some rush for me to get my insurance stuff together. I'm working hard to get my medical records. I cant make the medical records people move any faster or be any more efficient. I am dealing with Broadlawns after all. Read my blog for that battle. I basically need five years documented weight records. I dont know if they are going to accept my pregnacy weights or not. I've had three kids since 2000. So I honestly dont have that many records to get. I was without insurance for along while during that time and so I dont have things like physicals or the "i have a cold help me" doctors visits.I preemptively got records since 1995 but I was a kid in 1995. I'm a little frustrated. Any opinions? Amanda

They will work there magic with whatever info that you can give them. I would call Broadlawns everyday until you get someone that can help you and if nothing else have them fax it over to you. If you still get the run around talk with a supervisor over the area maybe that would speed up the progress. I love Susan to death...she is such an inspiring person before and after surgery. I am not sure why they would not take your pregnancy weights as I too only had them and I asked my OB doctor to write a letter for me and it was not a problem. Amanda, Hang in there! I didnt have much for recorded weight "gains" either except for my pregnancies. It will be okay. Just keep thinking "POSITIVE"
