Looking for a "great" Lap Band surgeon in Des Moines / Council Bluffs

My sis is beginning her research for WLS so any help would be appreciated. Hope all is well in the Hawkeye state. I grew up in Clarinda which is in SW Iowa. My sis lives there now. Thanks in advance.

Dr Todd Eibes is now doing the lap band surgery at Iowa Methodist Hospital. You might have her check there. I do not know much about him but I think he is the only one around Des Moines that is doing the Lap Band.

I think it depends on if the surgeon thinks she is a good candidate for Lap RNY. Just because she wants is done laprascopically doesn't mean that is what she'll get. Lap RNY is less invasive - however can take 4 to 5x as long in the operating room vs. an open RNY. Good luck! Jillybean
