Did anyone have lap-band that had a BMI around 35-36?

There are very few on the Iowa board that have had Lap-band. You might want to ask this question on the Lap-band board. Unless you have some serious co-morbidities you may have a difficult time getting ok'd by your insurance company to have any kind of weightloss surgery. A BMI of 35 is usually the lowest & that's with co-morbdites. However, from what I've read, if you can get Ok'd as a "lightweight", lap-band would be an excellent choice for you IF you are willing to make the lifestyle changes required. You can "cheat" a whole lot easier with lap-bands than gastric bypass so it takes more discipline. Good luck! Dixie
