Had surgery yesterday..

well sunday morning my white blood count jumped to 18000 so Dr. Smolik said he was comin in and doin an exploratory lap on me. So around 9:45 I was laying in the operating room again and they were headin in to look me over. At 1:30 I was being wheeled back to my room from recovery. They found an infection where my JP drain was and cleansed it out. They blew up my intestines and no leaks. They also had to put a JP drain back on my right side this time and I have G drain now. The G drain is to help me get nourishment in for at least the next week. I'm not allowed anything via mouth for the next week. Once I was able to get coherent enough last night to sit up it was AMAZING. I had no pain at all! Just some pressure. I couldnt believe it! Today i quit takin the morphine cuz it made me so sleepy and drowsy. I am not really having pain just heavy feelin and the pain..GONE!!! Its just awesome!! THANK YOU DR.SMOLIK!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to be let home tomorrow afternoon and will be happy to go home ..but sucks cuz i have to do another UGI next weeki..YUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK janine

Hi Janine...I am so glad they finally,figured out what was going on..I am so happy that your not having as much pain..Glad to know your feeling better..I hope you get to home soon..I know your probably,looking forward to that..Its always nice to be at home,with your kids and all of your things..I know getting to go home,helped me alot....Thinkin of you....Hugssss.Taphney

This is great that they found the problem. Glad to hear that the pain is mostly gone. Soon this will all be over and you can get on with the fun part. LOSING!!!
