Pain in side

I have been having a pain in my lower abdomen or my left side. In the same area that my JP drain was located. I keep thinking its just a pulled muscle but then I wonder if it's a hernia. Is a hernia possible with a lap rny? It hurts like heck. This has been happening since the say after I got my JP drain out. I still have my g-tube. Any ideas? I am scheduled to see the Dr this Wednesday but just wanted to know if I am crazy.

Hernia is one of the main side effects from the major weight loss issue and doesn't matter whether your RNY was lap or open. Left side, huh? Is that the side for appendix? If the pain is bad Lisa, I would recommend going in to the Mercy Capitol ER. Keep us posted. jean

I don't know how common it is, but I had a bout with kidney stones last week that sent me to the hospital a few days. Of course, kidney stones hurt more than heck so it may be something else. Hope everything else is going smoothly for you. Phil
