Its getting closer..

well tomorrow is my sleep study consult and I BETTER have a date by the end of the week. I am soo antsy its KILLING ME! I have enough stress going on in my life I wish I just had a date! I have yet to get all my vitamins etc though. I found a great deal on Isopure $31.99 for a 3 lb tub and it says 50g of protein for each serving (my friend thought it must taste terrible). Does that seem alot? It is from the website that Mercy Capital suggested buying it from (www.saveonsupplements.com? I THINK) I have it at home and I am at work. I do have my tums and vitamins, but still need to get my iron and B12 (and Isopure). Well just wanted to post and hope everyone had a GREAT labor day weekend! Mine was AWESOME! Gained a bunch of weight on Sat (maybe the beer I drank Fri night?) but by today I had lost it all so thats all good. Well I'll keep you posted on what the status is of my date... Janine

I think we are in the same boat. Here I wait had my appt with Dr Fluegel this am so we shall see how the day progresses from here and week. It has to get better I am hoping. We will have a date before we know it (hopefully sooner rather than later). Keep me posted (I know you will) Deanne

Well, Janine, I'm just going to say it bluntly.....Isopure tastes like ass. BUT....they pu**** at Mercy Capitol because it has the most bang for the buck. It is a powerhouse of protein in the smallest serving possible. So, knowing that new post ops don't/can't consume much, they want you to take in the most protein possible in the smallest amount possible. I could not tolerate isopure. I would get the heaves, it tasted so bad to me. BUT other people have drank it fine. So, don't let my opinion cloud you. Just start experimenting with mixing it up and maybe develope a taste for it now, so that post op, you will like it. jean

Jean, Your always so honest! I love it! I tried the Strawberry Isopure this weekend and it wasnt too bad. Of course my luck my taste buds will change and I will hate it. I bought the 2 3 lb containers of Isopure (strawberry and chocolate) and then i also bought a thing of unflavored from Unjury. I think the strawberry tastes like a really thin slim fast. I can tolerate those. Well this afternoon is my sleep study consult. I cant wait to get it over with. I'm going to call Mercy as soon as it is done to see if they can get me in with a date. Janine
