Hello everyone! I have a question about vitamins. What kind do you recommend? I currently take Optisource by Walgreens I take 4 a day and it has everything in it. The problem is I am getting sick of the taste. It costs 25$ a month. Can anyone recommend one you swallow with everything in it? And so it doesn't hurt your stomach. I am not concerned about the price only if it is good and tolerable. I didn't mind the optisource, my labs are awesome! But the taste is starting to turn me off. I have lost 123 pounds I went from a 24 to a 12 and I feel awesome. I have been slacking in the excercsie dept. which upsets me because I was doing so good. I even ran the BIX (on the hottest day of this year) it is a 7 mile run. I have not lost much in the last 2 months and I seem like I don't care. I feel happy about my body and don't care what others think. But I know I should be working out and it makes me mad at myself that I am finding other things to do. We are currently adopting from Korea and we are matched with a BEAUTIFUL baby girl who should be home before x-mas. We named her Ella Eun Ju and she is A DOLLY! The adoption is taking my mental and physical emotions. I am very busy with my son also. If I stay this weight i am fine with it. HOWEVER I do not want to gain any pounds I have NO wiggle room. I want to lose 20 more but I understand if I can't. Thank you for listening WOW I feel better about talking about this. I have been gone for awhile and I know I need this support. Angel

Hey! It's been a long time since we met at Jessie's house! It sounds like you're doing awesome. Congrats on your new baby, how exciting! To answer your question, UIHC has us do chewable vitamins, so I take Flintstone chewables because they taste the best. We should all get together again! Enjoy the holiday weekend, molly

Hi Molly, YES it has been a long time. You probably would not recognize me. I lost 123 pounds. I am going to stay on Optisouce and maybe take 2 centrum chewable with it. I think I might take 2 optisource then 2 centrum. Hopefully we can get together soon. I am all for it!!! Angel

I don't know Angel, I think that as far as chewables go, Optisource is the best flavored. The others all seemed so chalky to me. I did take regular vatamins for quite awhile, just cutting them in half or crushing them but my surgeon frowns on that. He feels that the sharp edge of the cut vitamin might cause cuts & scratches in the pouch. There is a liquid, even a spray, I believe. I tried a powdered one that you mixed with water & it's supposed to absorb better but I hated the fizzy part of it. It was also very expensive. Can't remember the name though. Congratulations on your upcoming daughter. What a wonderful thing for you to do & I'm sure she will be a blessing to your family. Dixie

I am so excited for you on your new adoption. I know how hard it is to wait. We adopted a 2 year old boy from Korea and you wait every day for the phone to ring and let you know when they are coming. It's awsome !!! I'm only 3 weeks out and I just take flinstone chewables, but this is what my doctor had suggested . Good luck to you and your family. I'll sure be thinking about you. What a blessed Christmas you will have this year. Deb

I'm using the Bariatric Advantage stuff. I get it at www.bariatriceating.com. They sell a package deal of a 90 day supply of vitamin, calcium, iron, and B12 for $110. It's easier for me to just order it all at once.

Centrum makes a chewable but I just really feel we need one that's especially formulated to WLS patients. There is a Vista vitamin that is a capsule that I took for a while but thought it was pretty pricey. Check out whats available at www.bariaticeating.com. I take Optisource.
