Well going on week 3..
well I talked to Susan for the 3rd time this week and still no date for the surgery. It's like all "hearsay" there. She called me back from my message that I left her this morning "to call me". She said, the last she heard was that Dr. Flegal (sp?) needed to talk to me regarding something about my sleep study and she was suppose to call me (I doubt SHE calls me..maybe an assistant). So I am frustrated. Susan said she will contact Patty again to see what the scoop is. I think I might just say screw it and stop stressing and let the date get here when it does. The only reason I was stressing is because my job gets extremely busy in Oct - end of the year and one of my associates is leaving for her honeymoon. I just dont want my boss to get upset if I cant have the surgery until October or hell even later like November (I will be mad then).
Okay..I'm venting..now I know what Lisa felt like!!

Can you call Dr Flegual's office and see what the scoop is? I can give you that # if you'd like. Stop stressing they will get it handled but it might not be in the timely manner that we all want it to. I am calling next week to see if they have everything to submit. Wishing they do.
You'll have your date soon and it will be before Oct or Nov...I believe in that one!!

Hi Janine (finally spelled right)
Good luck with Dr Fleugal. She's flightier than a butterfly and can't seem to get weightloss surgery approvals in her pritority list.
My file was on her desk for three weeks and she would not sign an approval for me. The Medical Records person even told me that she reminded the Dr. every day that she was there that my file needed her approval and that Fluegal would acknowledge it but the next day it would not be signed. Some days it was the only file on her desk. I had Susan call but it didn't seem to do any good. Finally the medical Records lady told the Office Manager about it and after a couple days she finally sent it. But three weeks is a long time to wait and there was no excuse for it.
Again, good luck. I hope you don't have a horror story like mine and I hope others haven't gone through the rigamorroll to get approval.
Phil
I feel for ya Janine, been there, done that! Keep on them, call Fleugal's office. It scares me to think I have to get my card from my machine read and Fleugal has to sign off before surgery that I have been in compliance. Let's hope I don't have one of the same incidents that Phil had. I suppoes if we all play the waiting game and all the appointments, then maybe that will prove commitment. Good luck keep us posted!
