PCP visit
I just love my PCP. I thought I'd have to argue about insulin resistance. Nope. I said that I had PCOS and he was right on board. My blood sugars are borderline high so it didn't take much convincing. He's starting me on glucophage and sending me to see the diabetic educator. Finally all the puzzle pieces are falling into place. That explains so much as to why it's always been so difficult for me to lose wt. Especially on the diets of the 80-90's - the low cal, high carb. low protein. That's when I really piled on the pounds. I looked at him and said, It's good to know I'm not crazy! He said, At least not about this! He knows I'm goofy.
Lyn, Hope you remember me. I was posting on here several months ago and was seriously debating the surgery. But like normal, I chickened out and stayed off this website for a while. Well.....the time has come to do something. So....I talked to my regular doctor about going to Grinnell. She is all for it and made a referral and appt that very day. So I go to see the dr on Oct 12. My question is....she is sending me to Sundberg but this site says he is in Boone. Did he move or is it a different doctor? I am more determined than before to finally get this moving so if you have any energy at all, please stay behind me and give me a gentle (or not so gentle) boot in the butt now and then. Hoping to visit with you later.
Linda
