Waiting for approval

Well after getting some extra blood work done for insurance, now I am starting the waiting game. Boy it's so hard when it's all you can think about. I want to call everyday to ask what my status is, but I don't want to keep bugging them either and make my case worker get sick of hearing from me. You get so scared of being denied and all the work and waiting you put into this not coming true. Has any of you had any expierence with Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO ? The nurse in charge of my case has been very nice every time I have spoken to her which made me feel better. Today is my 25th wedding anniversary so maybe today will be my lucky day and I will get the call we all wait for. Deb

Is Empire BCBS Shield out of New York? I don't know of anyone that had them, but I wonder if you checked out the New York State forum if you wouldn't find out some info?

I have Empire and they were great! I was apporved in just a couple days once they had everything. A friend also has Empire thru Sears and she didn't have any problems either. I even got them to approve my panniculectomy.

Thanks so much. That makes me feel better. I know down the road when I reach my goal weight I will want to have my tummy taken care of to, so it's good to know they don't have a problem with that. Deb
