Where is everyone???

I know I've been AWOL lately also. Work has been crazy and I just come home and collapse. Tomorrow I'm painting my bedroom again. Did it last year, Frosted Kiwi. It was so blasted light, I couldn't tell I had even painted it. So tomorrow it becomes Teal Zeal. At least I'll know I've painted this time. Next Friday I'm having surgery on my wrist. For those of you how are fairly new to the board, a year ago in April, my psycho dog knocked me flat and I broke my wrist. I already had a little arthritis but now I have a lot. Last week it was so bad I couldn't even pinch a nail to hold it to pound. Some better this week, but it's always gonna be crummy at times. I'm just too busy to have a non-functioning hand. I play flute, handbells, quilt. Kinda need a good grip for all of those things. You don't realize how much you use your off-dominate hand until it hurts to do anything. GRRRR. So I figured I'd better get busy and get the bedroom painted. Probably not what my ortho would want me to be doing, but we're not gonna tell him, right???? So the week after this one, I may be on more since I'm taking a week off at least. If everything goes as expected. However, we are talking about my body and it seems to always have a mind of it's own. Everyone have a great weekend! Remember to keep drinking! Lyn

Hi Lyn, Well, today I was too busy sweating to worry about anything else!! hahaha.. I have been super busy too. This week another gal at work was off on vacation, so I was pulling double duty, and the funny thing is, I basically did almost all the work of two people on my own, and thats NOT easy when you are typing medical transcription all day!! its not something that can be faked along! I called my insurance company on Thursday, as Grinnell had said they had faxed in my appeal for my thighplasty on 7/6, so I was hoping to have some good news, but they had not recieved it yet. "sighs" I hate insurance companies. there should have been at least a note on my thing stating they had recieved it, whether or not it had been looked at or decided yet. so I was disgruntled and called Grinnell again to have them re-fax it again. This is getting disgusting, I can tell you that. I guess I am pushing it along because they want to do it in 2 steps, and I want to be able to do one, recuperate a few months, then do the outer thighs before the end of the year for insurance and all that. Well, i am just happy my co-worker said to call them and bug them or I wouldnt have known that they had not gotten it yet. My girl dog is getting ready to have puppies and I am a nervous wreck about it. she is only about 50-55 days along now, but she is having some milk come out, and I am just so woried because she is only 11 months old and she gets kinda anxious about some things anyhow, so I know both her and my other dog are gonna be bonkers ... so I have to be the calming influence. Well, I better check on her, she is hot and miserable, and wont hardly leave my side STAY COOL! Judi
