July 12 Surgery date

I was searching for something not even close to this website when I found it. I just happen to be having surgery July 12th and am scared to death. After reading some of the other posts I can see I am not alone in my feelings. I wish you all good luck and fast recoveries.

Teddy I wil keep you in my prayers trust me you will be happy after you cross over to the losing side try to keep your self busy its helps with the nerves I wasscared to death but god will watch oer you and the doc,nurses you will be just fine good luck take care and glad that you found us here if you have questions or just want to vent your in the right place Sheila

Hi Teddy and welcome! Don't worry it's totally normal to feel scared before surgery. I doubt if there is a person on this website who would say they weren't. Best of luck to you and please come back.

I had to reply to your post because 1 year ago July 12th I had surgery. July 12th is my 1 year anniversary. It has been a great year!! It wasn't easy but now a year later I'm so glad I did this. I have lost 167 lbs and am now at my goal!!! I was feeling the same way you are now a year ago!! Try and stay busy it will keep your mind off of surgery. When I go in for my 1 year appointment next Wednesday I will say an extra prayer for you. Good luck!!!

Hi Teddy, I hope you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. We'll all be praying for you. I was scared to death before my surgery too. I had my surgery 6 months ago and I'm soooo glad I did it. Just wait till you get over to the losing side, you will feel so much better. I've lost 75 pounds so far and just need to lose about 25 more. I know you'll be just fine. Please keep us posted after your surgery. Good luck and congrats!

Hey teddy I had my surgery may 2005 and have lost 156 pounds so far. I was scared also and thats a normal feeling I had a rough time but never regreted doing it just stay strong keep the faith that everything will be ok. I wish you a healthy and speedy recovery. Lavonda
