I'm Home
Well, I'm home from surgery. They didn't even get me in until Noon, so to be home before 4 is pretty good I guess. I found out yesterday that the mother of a couple of good friends of mine, passed away. Her visitation is tonight, and funeral tomorrow. There is no way I can go to the funeral, but I am going to try real hard to at least make an appearance at the visitation. Figure I will still be under the influence of all the Toradol they gave me! LOL
I had wondered what they were going to give me for pain post-op as I am already on Oxycontin for maintenance. They are having me supplement the Oxy with Vicodin that I have left over since I just made the big switch less than 2 months ago. I do have to do the twice daily Lovenox injections Starting tomorrow. Ihave Factor Five Leiden which is a clotting disorder(genetic too) I am lucky so far as I do not have to take thinners everyday, but we don't want to take chance of throwing a clot. My sister that is 7 years older than I am has already survived a P.E. (pulminary embolism) and has DVT
Ok, better go put my feet up, but wanted to post that I was home. I will check back in the next couple of days.

PS Jesi, part of my blood work is back: Cholesterol 201, Triglycerides 169, HDL 46, LDL 121, and fasting glucose was 80. Still needs work, but is MUCH better than before.
Glad to hear all is well. Sorry to hear about your friends mom Glad to hear they have the pain meds in order too, keeping you comfy. The bloodwork looks pretty darn good. Of course we could probably all get our triglycerides and bad cholesterol lower, but like you said WAY better than before. My fasting glucose keeps running high, I am just counting down the days until I am diagnosed diabetic Tho I am working on it.....the numbers keep getting higher, sometimes you can't do enough I guess!!! Well take it easy, and can't wait to see ya more when your up to it! Take Care jesi
