Today wasn't horrible but not great. Breakfast Scrambled eggs with mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese Snack (here's the bad part) a small piece of chocolate wedding cake (I missed my friend's wedding - on vacation so I felt obligated to eat it. Bad excuse) Lunch - Cottage cheese, green bean casserole Snack - Mozerella cheese stick, SF Choc pudding Snack - Pria Prot bar Supper - Protein shake Too many calories, too many carbs. I'm trying a new protein drink, Standard Gold. Just got it this afternoon. Not too bad. 23 gms of protein. So I'm going to use that for at least one meal and snacks. 180 cal. I don't have any problem getting in my fluids and I'm pretty religious about my vitamins. Got the results of my 2 yr labs. Everything was great! My doc wanted 20 points of my HDL it was so high! Chol was a little high but he wasn't worried since my HDL was great and my LDL was also good. That said, he put me on Celebrex for my osteoarthritis. This was my rheumatologist. Hopefully it won't bother my pouch. We'll see how big a fit my WLS doc pitches. Hopefully, it will control my pain better and I'll be able to exercise more consistently. So, I'm back on the protein train and going to work out more now that I won't have so much pain. Anyone joining me on that train???? I'm issuing a challenge! I will get to my personal goal by my anniversary (wedding - Aug 6th 23 yrs). Lyn 262/152/142

My youngest daughter will turn 5 on August 6th! And congrats on 23 years That is a LONG time Your day sounds pretty good, do you plan on eating snacks? Can you not make it on 3 meals a day? I try not to snack, but I always end up eating so much worse, so now I am eating snacks, but only healthy ones. I am doing the protein train with ya....I know if I can stick to it for two days straight I will be doing good....but those nasty carbs have control over me Pre-breakfast coffee & pills breakfast 1 scrambled egg with peppers, onions, & cheese snack was cheese & carrots lunch salad snack peanut butter supper hamburger patty & green beans lots of water and supplements throughout the day evening-went a little crazy had some popcorn and then a chocolate rice cake And before bed had a protein bar.....gosh I feel like a pig reading all of that.....I could have done without the popcorn & rice cake but we were all playing yahtzee and snacking. Talk to you later and take care Jesi

If I don't eat something about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, my blood sugar plumments like a rock. At least, that's what I assume is happening. Something to address when I see my surgeon next week.
