Anyone have BCBS of IL?

I have been at this process for a year now. I've gotten 2 letters saying I need 12 months dr supervised diets. My doctor has sent 2 letters back stating all the diets I have done thru the years. He has been my dr. for 17 years. He has seen my efforts. True, none of my diets were closely monitored by him, but he knew all about them. Has anyone had any luck getting around this? On Friday, I refaxed one of his letters and an appeal letter written my me.

yes I do have BCBS of il. I had to do the year diet meeting with my dr monthly. I also had been going to the same dr for 18 year, but they would not accept that. After I completed the year I was approved on the first request.

Yes, I have them and they suck!!! I tried for 2 years to get approved and they just kept coming up with denial after denial. They were the worst ins co to work with. My doc said he has not heard them pay for anyones surgery without a fight. I suggest looking at other options!!!! I had too. I paid cash. Good luck!! Jen
