WLS on pause
As some of you may know I just started this process of WLS but it's going to have to wait because my husbands company which is ALCOA is about to go on strike. And i'm just kinda upset because i was hoping to get this started and rolling so it would happen by the end of the summer or something. And the main issue of the strike is healthcare so i don't even know how my insurance is going to change i'm just upset and needed to get it off my chest. I've never had to deal with stuff like this and the insurance stuff is so confusing to me because we previously had navy insurance and when your in the military you don't have to pay for anything. Oh well let me get off here. talk to you all later.

Bummer........I don't know much about strikes....but you would think the insurance would stay valid, as it is usually from Jan1st -Dec 31st kind of cycles. They may be fighting over better insurance, but it wouldn't happen until Jan 1, you would think! Did Alcoe eventually strike? I haven't heard lately, I have a friend who works there. I would call Genesis, ask Theresa what she thinks, you might be surprised to know you can carry on as usual. Best of luck & let us know what you find out! Take Care jesi
Hey hun....I hope things work out. Can you still try to go to the appointment and future appointment til you know for sure what is going on?? That's what I would do, is carry on like normal until you know otherwise. I wouldn't think they could just cut everyone off from healthcare that quickly. Try to get as much of the pre-op stuff out of the way while you can, and if you end up with different ins and a new surgeon you can just get copies of everything you had done and hopefully it would be accepted and you would jump ahead of the game. When I had surgery they accepted everything I had done in Virginia LAST SUMMER...everything except bloodwork of course. Good Luck and let me know what happens....you know I'm here for you
