Date Set
Congrats on your May 23rd date Shea. It sure does feel great to be finished with all the testing. Oh, and believe it or not you will survive the liquid diet. I still have not eaten anything I had to have during my 14 day liquid diet. In no time you will be on the losing side. Keep us posted, ok? Cindy
Congratulations, Shea, & happy belated birthday too. what a nice gift.
The liquid diet will be difficult but you'll make it if you keep reminding yourself how important it is. The first days are the worse but it gets better. I don't know what your surgeon allows but if broth is included, try strained soup(chicken noodle, beef vegetable, etc) instead. It's till clear but tastes so much better. Thats what my surgeon's patients do & we had to be on it for 2 weeks. Oh, & if you feel the need to chew, finger jello is also considered a clear liquid.
Good luck,
Dixie
WooHoo Like you said tho, May 23rd will be here before you know it Good luck with the clear liquid diet, I didn't have to do one, but I still feel for you. I hear popsicles are a big help cause your actually chewing/crunching on something. Or even an sno-cone maker....again the chewing feeling.....I use one now as they have great sugar free syrups and the sno-cone machines are so inexpensive. It is a great asset post-op too. Best of luck & Take Care jesi
