I went through Queens and had an excellant experence.  I have HMSA HMO Health Plan Hawaii and I did not pay anything out of pocket except for a couple $20 copays for the NUtritionist.  It took seven months but that was my choice because I was going to a family reunion and didn't want to go to that right after my rny.

I have lived in Hawaii for the last 2 and a half years and I have adjusted to warm weather.  I have moved back to Houston and I am experiencing cold weather again.  Now I realize Houston isn't getting the freezing weather like some part of the world but the last time I experienced 30-40 degree weather was with added weight.  I used to wear shorts every day of the year no matter what the temp outside because I never got cold.  Well I am proud to say as of last nights visit to the scale I am officially down 102 pounds!!!  I am so excited I can't stand it.  As cold as I have been I wouldn't take that weight back for anything.  I would rather freeze my behind off than gain that weight back.  While on the scale two of my cousins decided to weigh themselves.  The first is a 20 year old girl cousin that weighs in at 225 with probably 20 pounds of that being all boob!!  I am happy to say I am only 20 pounds heavier than her.  The other is a 16 year old boy cousin and he weighs in at 235 so I am now only 10 pounds heavier than he is.  He is actually quite tall and into sports so I know his weight is healthy for him.  Anyway I just couldn't believe I have made 100 pounds so soon.  When I began this journey in April I was doing research on the different surgeries and all I was hearing was lapband patients don't lose as much weight or as quickly as bypass patients but I went with the band anyway because it was safer for future pregnancies.  I am now 7 months out and couldn't be happier with my choice.  thanks for all of the support getting to this point!!!
