Topic: Five weeks postop, First fill
Hi All,
I'm glad I waited until today to write about this, as I am feeling much better today. I had my first fill and check up last Friday and although the appointments went great and I never even FELT the fill (talk about a lot of worry for nothing!), I felt pretty yucky after the fill and all day yesterday.
I'm happy to report that I feel wonderful today and am very happy! My restriction is fantastic and although I had a lot of acid reflux friday and saturday and couldn't eat or drink much, I feel like a new person today.
I loved my appointments with Alison and Cindy also -- Cindy even got me to sweat a little! All in all a very good experience. Weight loss is above average for my age/size and Dr. Fowler seemed very happy about that. I look forward to this phase of the journey where I will actually have some help from my band!
Oh, and the best part of my two days on Oahu... my sister from Oregon met me there and we had girl time. She bought me a wonderful gift and I wanted to share with you: It's a silver bracelet with "Embrace the Journey" engraved in it. She bought it at Brighton in Ala Moana. I think it's perfect for this journey that we are on!
Thanks for letting me share. Blessings to you all !

Aloha! We made a military move to Hawaii about a little less than a month ago and are renting a house on the north shore near Pupukea beach. I am 10 months post op from band and revision to VSG, and I am down 95 lbs! I want to lose about 35 more lbs, and my weight loss is slowing down. I would love a walking/workout partner, or even just a new buddy!

Aloha Colleen!
Were you at the info session on January 22? If so, I believe we met. I'm from the Big Island. I'm glad you joined this sight. I've found it to be so supportive. May the Force be with you in your new journey!
By the way, your dogs are adorable! I have a Schnauzer who is both a treasure and a pain in the ass.
Aloha,
