Topic: Hi Friends!!
I have been out of touch the last 2 months or so. I was working and I am in a classroom all day so I rarely get on the computer anymore but as of 2 days ago I am unemployed again so hopefully I will be around a little more. I just thought I would stop by and ask for a few prayers and some words of encouragement. I am doing so well with the weight loss although I would really like to have another fill but seeing as how I have to have surgery soon the doctor wants me to wait. Anyway I have been having some pretty terrible pain and went to the doctor only to discover I have gallstones and inflamation. It has to come out. Since Dr. Fowler is in Hawaii, the surgeon I have found here in Texas is going to do the surgery which makes me feel better. I was worried that someone that had no experience with the lapband was going to try to cut me open. I am missing all of my Hawaiian friends and the wonderful support from you all. Anyway if anyone has any words of encouragement send them this way. Thanks to all of you!!
Topic: Surgeon in Hawaii!
Hi Everyone, I have a friend of mine who is a bandster. She is moving to Hawaii and needs a fill doctor who takes medicaid. Does anyone know of a surgeon? Thanks for the information. Mona

Aloha-
Sorry, I can't help you. I'm on Maui, but perhaps some of the others here who live on Oahu can help. Give them a little time to respond.... this is a slow, laid back group.
A hui hou kakou!

Topic: RE: Follow up with Dr. Fowler
Aloha Sara,
That is so true about people eating too fast and being banded over a year you'd think I'd learn, but given our hectic lives and always rushing here and there sometimes makes us forget to slow down. I catch myself eating way to fast when I'm multi-tasking like trying to eat while I'm talking on the phone. What a horrible feeling.
I also don't miss soda, but I do miss the occassional beer every once in awhile. New Years was weird my first year out as I can't drink the celebratory champagne like before. This New Years and for my wedding reception I drank this Moscato which is a very light white wine that tastes like Asti Spumante without the bubble. Only drink it for special ocassions though.
Hope all is well with everyone as I've been out of contact with this board since my "new life" led me to meet my new husband.
Keep losing all............Carmen
