Beautiful family pictures! Looks like you're the lightweight in the family now! I love the comment your family friend made to your mom!! What fun not to be recognized, isn't it!?!
I still enjoy watching people's jaws drop who haven't seen me in the past year. It's a double-take-jaw-drop actually (the head shakes, the eyes blink twice and widen and then the mouth falls open) and I never tire of seeing it! I know, I'm evil! hehehe
Continued success and enjoy life!

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to share some photos from my recent trip home (American Samoa) for my son's graduation. I was there for 19 days and had some funny moments because people didn't recognize me. One family friend approached my mom and told her " all these years I didn't realize you had another daughter." My mom laughed and told her that it was me and she couldn't believe it., lol. There was so much food temptation around and was really hard to resist the tempation to eat all those things you really know you shouldn't. I did give in a few times but I am back on track now.

Fish is a great source of protein.  It provides our bodies with essential amino acids, minerals, some vitamins, and has great health benefits.  However, the mercury in seafood can be harmful if consumed in high amounts, especially to children and pregnant women.  I'd recommend allowing yourself 3-4 servings of seafood per week.  Ahi poke does have a high amount of mercury in it so don't over do it, you might want to have the ahi tuna only once or twice a week and try salmon or other fish.  You can always go to the website gotmercury.org to check out the mercury content of various types of seafood.

It helps very much, thank you! I figured the tako (octopus) poke would be similar to ahi poke, so I've been tracking it using similar numbers. There is a deli/cafe near us that makes THE best and freshest seafood we can get here. They know when they see me walk through the door to get the taco ready! Their shrimp shares top billing with me as well.

Is there any harm in too much fish and/or seafood?
