Sorry you're not feeling well.  I can only imagine how horrible it must feel to be nausious all the time!  You should really talk to Dr. C also and see what he says.  Depression can be caused by so many different things that may be going on in your life or maybe you're depressed because you're feeling so bad right now and once you get this fixed the depression will get better too.  Anyway, I'm no doctor but I really hope you feel better soon!!!

What did your PCP say about your symptoms?  It seems like they are bringing on some major anxiety for you which is making it all the worse.  I know how important it is to get the protein in, but maybe it would be best to concentrate on getting in whatever you can, even if it's water.  Is there stuff in your life causing you stress?  I mean, is your nausea caused by stress, maybe?   Or do you have a virus?

I have had bouts of nausea but haven't lasted this long.  And it always related to eating too fast, not chewing well enough, or in one instance, my band was too tight.

I hope that this weekend will allow you time to rest and take care of yourself.  Better yet, ask your significant other or good friend to take care of you.  This might just what you need.  I hope you recover completely very soon!

Aloha,
Barb

You're doing great sister!!! I know it can be hard at times but we made this decision to be healthier and sometimes even I need to be reminded. I'm glad that I have you too! I really don't know how someone could get through this without a support system. Keep up the good work and remember to keep your eye on the prize and run the race as if you've already won!!! Love ya, T

Topic: 1 month out update!!!

It's been 1 month since i've had my life changing experience done. So here's the update....I'm still working on getting in as much protein as possible.  My new stomach loves fish so I pretty much eat that everyday.  A couple of days ago I experienced my first "Dumping Syndrome Day!" Something I don't ever want to go thru again.  I know how it happened and I know why, so i'm doing everything possible to avoid it happening again.

To date i've lost a total of 30lbs...something I wouldn't have been able to do without my new tool.  I've been walking to exercise, but need to up my game. I'm still taking all my med's that the doc wants me to take, but sometimes I feel like that's all pouch is filled with...med's and water! Lately, i've found myself getting nausea around food smells...things I would normally love to smell I can't...is that normal?

My sis is doing great as well...she eats alot more different things then I can.  I'm just super glad I have her to share my days with.

I have my good days and I have my bad ones, but no matter what I feel like...I LOVE this NEW ME!!!

I am out two years now, but I remember and have allot of newbies as friends, and one thing that helped me out was egg drop soup.....lots of protein....and even now for breakfast every morning Ihave my coffee....decaf....with a scoop of van. max protein powder and a shot of s/f syrup, anyflavor, ususally kahlua or amaretto, or vanilla.............it ends up tasting like a capaccino....then I know I have at least the first twenty grams. of protein in for the day.....LOis
