Well you can also try Ross in Honolulu and also I have seen some stuff at Sears.  Here in Hawaii we have a very limited supply for us plum women.  I live on Kauai and I got Kmart and Walmart.  We dont have to much of anything stylish for us plump women.  Why are you moving to Hawaii?

Macy's here has a plus size section, upstairs with the bedding. I call it the shame section because the main clothing floor is full of petites. It's just the industry here. Anyway, no Lane Bryant or any of the other stores you mentioned. Just Macy's...boo hoo! You should plan to wear muu muu's or sundresses. They come in all sizes and are super comfy in the heat.

OUCH - rent here is SO expensive. There's no such thing as reasonable to cheap rent. You can check out rentals at craigslist.com or honoluluadvertiser.com. You should plan on paying at least $1000 a month for a tiny space. If you see something that looks interesting and want information on the location, etc. send me a private message. I'll try to help out!

Alright ladies, I need some help.

By the time I move to Hawaii I will be approximately 3 months out from surgery. And while I know I'll be dropping weight, I'm still going to need some lovely plus-sized clothing for a while. So, my question to you locals, is what are the key shops in the Waikiki/Honolulu area that I should hit up? I've tried searching for Lane Bryants, Torrids and Fashion Bugs but it doesn't seem to be working.

I need you ladies!

HELP!

Topic: New show on The Learning Channel

For all of you that have cable tv and get The Learning Channel, Starting on Monday of next week they will begin broadcasting a new show called Big Medicine. I'm looking forward to this and I'm hoping to glean more information and help out of it also. It will be on Monday evening sometime. I look forward to watching it and seeing what goes on.

Topic: Hey Hawaii!
I am currently a resident of Illinois, but this August I'll be moving to Oahu to work with the Hawaiian International Film Fest with my roommate. I'll be roughly 3 months post-op then and I'm so excited!

This is not only a "Hello, I'll be joining you soon!" but a cry for help as well. I need to stay in the Honolulu/Waikiki area because our home office will be in downtown Honolulu and I'll be relying on public transportation to get to work and back. If there are any apartment complexes that have reasonable to cheap rent or realtors I should contact, please let me know!

Thanks so much!
