Topic: RE: Procedure Code for fills

Hi Carmen,

As far as I'm aware, HMSA doesn't cover fills. That's one of the reasons why I chose the VSG over the LapBand. I heard it runs around $250 per. Maybe the LapBand board may have the code for you? You could re-post your questionn there.

You have a great holiday weekend as well. I totally forgot it was a long weekend!(But i have to work cause my company trades Veteran's day for Kamehameha day).

aloha,

michelle

I soooo wanna go to Lion King but am waiting for Go! to roll out some el-cheapo tickets. I'm really trying to be tight with my cash as I want a TT next summer and have already scheduled my first consult on 2/8. Yes, i remember you. And who did your TT? Are you happy with your results? Did insurance help pay for that? How long have you lived in Kaneohe? Where did you grad from? LOL......so many questions. So my PS consult will be done by my cousin who now lives in Pasadena but used to live in Kaneohe and graduated from Punahou.

Hi All, For those who have been banded, can anyone tell me the procedure code for fills?  I'm trying to find out if HMSA covers fills, but they said I needed the procedure code. Have a great holiday weekend !!!! Carmen

Hi Michelle! Wow, you look just great!!!  I am so happy for you that the VSG worked for you!!! If you don't remember me, check your support page, I was the first person to post.  I welcomed you to the Hawaii Board and mentioned that Dr. Cirangle was also my surgeon. I had lap rny on January 10, 2005, which makes it almost 3 years.  It's hard to believe that much time has passed.  I've since had an abdominoplasty (complete tummy tuck) last year in April. I started at 263 pounds and am now 128 pounds.  I am also only 5 feet tall, so I was really morbidly obese. I live in Kaneohe on the island of Oahu.  If you ever are in my area, let me know, I would love to get together.Take care and God Bless you and your family.  Have a Happy Holiday Season!!! Aloha,  Pat Nicely   -------  P.S.  By the way, I just saw the Lion King last Sunday.  It is really awesome!! Actually, I'm going again on December 6th.  I just can't get enough of it.  I'm sure you and your children would really enjoy it!  Hope you get to see it.  Check on the tickets, because the show ends on December 9th.

Has anyone in Hawaii used these 2 guys? I stumbled across their website. Looks like they practice out of Kauai and Maui. Or do you know of anyone who used them?

People are raving about Lion King. Did you get a chance to see it? Or are you going? I'm waiting for some ridiculous airfares.........like $9 one way or something. Then i'll pull the kids outta school and book the Lion King. And shop too!

Aloha Kamehanaokala, I had a variation of the Mini Gastric Bypass called One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass.  I've listed a couple of links to it under the MGB forum here. Tom

Hi Tom,

Your surgery type says "other". What type did you have?

I haven't been to the Big Island in a few years. My mother in law lives in Papaikou.
