Mahalo...... for making me smile!
I drop in on WLS Grads and Diet and Nutrition, but usually only lurk.
I'm not one to get into dramas. I often feel myself out-growing topics and some topics get quite repetitive.
I wish this board was more active, too. You're so right about sharing a common bond here. ((hugs))
A hui hou!
im so sorry that this happened to you..this is the first that i heard that he was rude.....he seems so caring and nice at his seminars and meetings....i hope that all goes well with you..tell us what happens with Dr. fowler
I geuss it wasent that bad of an experence... 3 of us had a lap band by dr c- and prior to surgery he was extreamly nice to us and such.... then after it was a difrent story- but the kicker for us was when my band did slip- I was 35 weeks prego- and freaked out- and had no idea what was going on.... Dr C told me to just get my baby taken out and hop on over to san francisco and get my band out... It just freaked me out-- my OB looked at me and told me that we could get it done localy and Dr. Lapshes(sp) took it out- The ER doctor came in and talked to us after she had gotten off the phone with dr C and called him a F****** P*** i geuss he was rude to her on the phone... It was probably just my hormones at the time- but i dunno- wasent fun at all...
Congrats on your awesome weight loss- I cant wait to feel good again!
My heart goes out to you. I feel so achey when I hear of band slips and errosions.
Last year January 2007 when I was still in the research stage i thought at first i wanted a band, then after my consultation and researching countless hours on the VSG, it seemed like the right surgery for me. I'm still glad I chose the VSG route and have had no problems or issues.
What are you thinking of having a revision to?
I also see you had a negative experience with Dr. C....can you elaborate? I haven't heard anything bad about him or experienced anything bad myself with him but I know there are good/bad with every doc.
I hope your meeting next week goes well.
Keep us posted.
aloha,
michelle
Yea- Dr. C was expensive- 4 grand up front and then my co-pay after the insurance was like 2900... I dont want to say anything bad about the experence, although i could.....
I havent heard much about Dr. Fowler... I hope he takes tricare... and i hope tricare pays for VSG... i am so excited!
I thought i was dying when my band sliped- the worst pain i have ever felt... My husband said my eyes kept rolling back and i was talking gibberish... makes me shiver just thinking about it...
i am really looking forward to Dr. Fowler- i hope it goes well!!
