My kids have been asking for a Nintendo Wii since it came out. Since June they been asking to have it for Christmas. I am really thinking of getting it for them for selfish reasons. I just hope that if I get it my children will let me play with it instead of crowding me telling me that it is their turn. Aloha

I L-O-V-E our Wii Fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorites are the Aerobic Step modules. I also like the Yoga. Hubby and I both use it. It's great for keeping track of your weight and BMI as well.

I also like the "privacy of my own home" aspect. I am not a "gym" person.

Did I say I LOVE our Wii Fit?!!

All admirable goals! Tracking my food on a regular basis helps a great deal, too. I use the Daily Plate online. That way, I learn about foods I consume and stay focused. If I need to look back because something is blocking my progress, I can easily spot the problem.... too many carbs, too much sugar, etc. This whole journey is quite an educational/learning experience!

Also, don't eat until you're full. Just eat the proper amounts. I like to weigh/measure my food so I don't accidently over-eat. Over-eating is allegely uncomfortable and can cause some serious/bad side effects. I have never experienced any of them and I credit that to my measuring and being ultra careful. Remember the size of a deck of playing cards or the palm of your hand.... that's the amount you're trying to match.

Always remember the importance of fluids. You must drink throughout the day. You can no longer chug-a-lug huge amounts of water or drinks to make up lost fluids so maintaining them constantly is very important. Allowing yourself to get dehydrated can land you in the hospital... take if very seriously and always carry your bottle with you. I always have some kind of protein "kicker" added to it for added benefits. Might as well keep it healthy!

Aunty Jenn - if you're cutting out the caffeine you will want to be careful of different teas. Many of them have caffeine. Herbals usually don't. You will want to cut out caffeine for various reasons, so just be aware. I had to kick caffeine years ago. I suffered with a serious headache for a week and a half getting "cleansed" of it! It was horrible! All better now and rarely have headaches anymore either!

Malama pono!

Still hoping to have surgery... in the meantime, I've been trying to loose some lbs.

I've been using the Nintedo wii fit board and I love it! It comes with a virtual trainer and is simple to use. It's like playing a video game. It tracks your weight, BMI, and your "fit age"... Super cool. Plus you can play this thing in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

The maximum weight is 315 (I think). Anyways, it's motivating me.

There is Yoga, Strength training, areobics, and balance.

I used to have a pinched nerve near my hips and the yoga has helped.

Hopefully October rolls by soon... I will have my informational session and go from there.

Been having some incontinence... it sucks!

I felt like crap this past two days.  Couldn't really hold anything down.  I couldn't workout because my body felt so weak.  I ate Kalua pig with cabbage.  I been throwing up, and just basically felt weak.  I think that might be dumping syndrome.  I haven't had a bowel movement for a weak.  Is that normal?
