Topic: RE: Any regrets? Or any complications post op?
Hi LadyD808,
I had the lapband 1 year ago. I've lost 93 pounds, and am continuing to loose. I don't regret it for a second. I have no more sleep apnea, no joint pain, no asthma, no back pain. I can open my closet and put on anything ... it used to take me hours to try and decide what to wear before.
I have had some minor bumps in the road. I have constipation issues (sorry TMI), have been filled too tight once and was uncomfortable until I got some fluid taken out, and occasionally I have acid reflux issues at night. Even on the on my worst days of these "complications" I am so much happier and healthier.
Whichever surgery you decide, good luck to you. I know there are a few gals here that have had RNY, and although this board has been quiet for a few months... keep posting, because everyone checks in when they can.
Aloha,
Nicole

Well I am fairly new here and a native of the islands!! Born and raised on Oahu and after years of battling the weight demon over the years since I was a child...I have finally decided to say 'FORGET YOU EVIL DEMON!' and realize..I need a little extra help-- so here I am trying to check out all my options here on Oahu and see what will work for me! This board doesn't look like it gets too many visitors but figured...what the hell, time to revive it!! STAT!! I'm loving reading everyone's journey thus far and hopefully be able to do what everyone else was able to do...take control of your life back! With Jesus Christ by me I know that if I'm meant to get this surgery everything WILL fall into place at the right time^^ Anyways...AHUI HOU MALAMA PONO!!!

Just wanted to connect with other Hawaii people. I had my RNY on the 23rd of October and would like to chat with other people in Hawaii (mainly honolulu) about their experiences.
